🌍MUN-Style Debate🌍
Join us for our Model United Nations (MUN)-Style Debate, organized in collaboration with KallioPPE, UNISCA, and Merlijn, study associations from different educational backgrounds coming together to engage in a structured policy debate. The purpose of the event is to provide our members with practical insight into international diplomacy and multilateral decision-making, while sharpening their skills in legal reasoning, policy analysis, negotiation, and public speaking.
During this session, delegates will debate two pressing global issues. For Motion 1 on Climate Migration, the discussion will focus on whether the UN should recognize climate-induced displacement as grounds for international protection. For Motion 2 on AI Surveillance, delegates will examine whether the UN should support an international prohibition on the use of real-time facial recognition in public spaces. Each participant will be randomly assigned to one of the two motions and, in pairs, to a specific UN Member State.
🏆The Best Delegation will receive a certificate of recognition as well as a LinkedIn post formally announcing their award.
